1. The agreement

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form a legally binding agreement between you and PDFLabz regarding your use of the website and tools at https://www.pdflabz.com. By accessing or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the service.

2. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any law.
• Upload or process content that infringes copyright, trademarks or other rights of third parties.
• Upload content that is defamatory, obscene, harassing, or otherwise harmful.
• Interfere with, disrupt, or attack our infrastructure (including DoS, scraping at unreasonable rates, or automated abuse).
• Reverse-engineer, decompile or attempt to extract the source code, except where permitted by law.
• Resell, sublicense or repackage the service as your own without prior written permission.
• Bypass rate limits, paywalls or any access controls.

3. Accounts

If you create an account, you must provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity carried out under your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Your content

You retain all rights to the files you process. We do not claim ownership of any document, image or other content you submit.

For tools that run in your browser, your content never reaches our servers. For AI-powered tools that necessarily transmit data to a third-party model provider, you grant us the limited right to process and forward that content for the sole purpose of returning a response. We do not use your content to train models.

5. Payments & refunds

Most tools are free. If the site administrator enables paid plans (Pro / Business), the following terms apply:

• Subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or yearly basis via Stripe.
• You can cancel any time from your account; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee on the first payment of any plan. After 14 days, payments are non-refundable except where required by law.
• Prices may change with at least 30 days’ notice. Existing subscribers are grandfathered into their current price for the duration of the active billing cycle.

6. Intellectual property

The PDFLabz name, logo, design and software are owned by us (or our licensors) and protected by copyright, trademark and other laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the service for its intended purpose. All other rights are reserved.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, secure or error-free, or that any result obtained from the service will be accurate or reliable.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PDFLabz and its officers, employees and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, goodwill or other intangibles. Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the past 12 months, or (b) USD 50.

9. Termination

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access — with or without notice — if we believe you’ve violated these Terms, are creating risk or possible legal exposure for us, or for any other reason as permitted by law. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (e.g. IP, liability, governing law) will continue to apply.

10. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where the operating company is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute will be resolved exclusively in the competent courts of that jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence may also apply.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date will reflect the most recent revision. For material changes, we will provide reasonable notice (e.g. via banner or email). Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
