When to watermark
A watermark is the simplest way to mark a document as DRAFT, CONFIDENTIAL, PAID or to add your company logo across every page.
Text vs image
- Text watermark — fast, scales to any page size, supports rotation and opacity.
- Image watermark — best for logos with transparent backgrounds (PNG).
How to add
- Open Watermark PDF.
- Upload your PDF.
- Type your text (e.g.
CONFIDENTIAL) or upload a logo. - Adjust opacity, angle and position.
- Click Apply and download.
Tips
- Use 30% opacity so the underlying content stays readable.
- A diagonal angle of 30°–45° looks more intentional than 0° or 90°.
- For client deliverables, place a small logo in the corner instead of a giant overlay.
